Hi YK, Let me clarify the current status. We submitted the FW to 3PL on 12/21. And Google changed the SmokeTest item on 12/26. Replace PlayMovie with "shop" According to Google's rule. 3PL must use the latest SmokeTest template. I checked the ATV Help Center https://docs.partner.android.com/tv/build/experience/ui/g-play-movies?hl=en (Please refer to PlayMovie_in_CustomLauncher) Impact on new and existing custom launcher devices Until further notice, the Play Movies & TV package must be preloaded and included in the out-of-box placement on custom launcher devices. The app shows an educational banner instructing users to visit YouTube for purchased content playback. The requirement still asked us to fix the Play Movie position in the out-of-box placement, but I don't know why the PlayMovie is removed from c-launcher-apps-view TC of the latest SmokeTest. I've used US VPN and US google account to check if the PlayMovie can be updated to shop. But after we updated to the latest PlayMovie, we still can NOT see the shop. It looks like the shop only apply on Standard Launcher (our device is customer launcher) I've collected the above information and forward to our 3PL. Now, our 3PL is checking shop-related items to Google. (But now is Google's holiday, the response might be slower) if there is any update from Intek, please share it with us. Hi YK, Google has clarified current Google Play Movie (GPM) Position on custom launcher. Please refer to the attachment. We only need to care about the following information, "Do keep in mind though that this requirement and smoke test will change to not preload the GPM app in custom launcher devices in the coming months."
